Who should you get relationship advice from?

We can learn a lot from Rehoboam's foolishness. Not all advice is considered the same. Here are four verses to consider when deciding who should form your inner circle of guidance. This is very evident in relationships where one or both people are facing imminent change and the relationship suffers due to the struggle against the inevitable. We all sit in different places on the spectrum, but it's important to know what side of the spectrum the person giving the advice feels on, in relation to you.

If you resist change, and someone suggests a change as relationship advice, you're likely to struggle against the change and the advice, and possibly the friend who gives you the advice. A friend who has more emotional burden in relationships than a physical one will give you advice from that side of the spectrum. Non-professionals, such as family and friends, will always give you advice about your relationship if you ask them. Honestly, I sometimes struggle to find someone who feels like giving me unbiased relationship advice.

According to the same study, 80% of Generation Z singles said it's important to get advice from their friends about who to go out with, 86% of them question the advice their friends give, and most of them truly regret following the advice and ultimately feel like they made the wrong decision.
